It’s hard to believe that one year has passed since the death of Steve Morse, my colleague at The Boston Globe (Steve was the senior staff rock critic and a Globe writer dating back to 1975; and I met and grew to know him while a freelancing weekly contributor and columnist for 15 years). To mark the one-year anniversary of his passing, a tribute show and benefit for his son, Nick Morse, an autistic, non-verbal artist whom Steve was deeply connected to in his care and support, is being held this Sunday, Oct. 26, at the Regent Theatre in Arlington, MA. Unfortunately, while I won’t be able to travel to be there, I wanted to share the pertinent program information for anyone interested. Looks like a killer musical lineup. I think of Steve often, and am re-posting the tribute to him I wrote here in the wake of his passing. Among many memories and impressions you’ll read about, Steve was the first fellow journalist to welcome me to Boston when I arrived back in 1997 — something I appreciated and never let him forget. Oh, and here’s the link and details of Sunday’s show: https://regenttheatre.com/schedule/list/
